Sicontact Company Leather Factory Company was established in 1999 in the Moroccan Kingdom. The idea of establishing the company arose from the huge consumption of different types of meat such as: Sheep, Goats and Cows. Sicontact Company has decided to utilize its resources since it already operated the majority of slaughterhouses in Morocco.

The company specializes in the fabrication, tanning, and finishing of all types of leather such as: Sheep, Goat and Cow. Sicontact Company Leather Factory Company also produces fur and wool. Since its establishment, the company has continued to progress and develop. It is now a leading company in its field at both the national and international level.

ALMOST ANY SKIN CAN BE USED TO MAKE LEATHER:

Almost any skin can be used to make leather. To be named “leather” the skin must be essentially intact with its original fibrous structure. The hair or wool may, or may not, have been removed. Synthetic materials made to look like leather are sometimes incorrectly referred to as ‘synthetic leather’. This term can be legally challenged when used as a marketing argument, and is clearly illegal in a number of countries.

Various tanning methods are used for turning a hide into leather; the most well-known are chrome and vegetable tanning. All methods have a comparable environmental impact and are environmentally safe when the industry’s best practices are followed.
